More than three unexcused absences in an on-campus course is considered excessive, and students who have more than three unexcused absences may receive from their instructor a reduced grade for the term.
Students taking courses online must check in with their instructor by the first Wednesday of the semester. Assignments must be submitted per the deadlines provided by the instructor.
Students with excessive tardiness or absence are subject to the penalties outlined in the course syllabus up to and including the professor requesting the student be dismissed from the course with the grade of “F”. In an effort to assist students who lag behind, professors will also be asked during week 3 and week 6 to identify any students who have not been attending regularly to their assignments.
